Introduction of Calypso as Front-to-Back platform
Firstwaters has an one-of-a-kind track record of successful Calypso integrations.
In the last few years, a total of eight European banks and insurance companies have placed their trust in Firstwaters for the integration of Calypso as a solution platform for their Capital Markets business. In doing so, the implementation of workflows for front- and back-office processes and the execution of accounting and risk functions are a part of our day-to-day operations. Our current consulting team boasts more than 150 years of project experience in the integration and development of Calypso in the field of Capital Markets. This means that we are able to implement your functional and non-functional requirements in Calypso and, together with you, develop a front-to-back solution for your Capital Markets operations that stands out through its high degree of standardisation, absolute transaction security and an impressive STP rate. We demonstrate this every day through our strategic partnerships with Calypso clients.
At the moment, we are consulting four clients on ongoing Calypso projects, including a German state bank in the migration of its FX/MM and FXO business front-to-back to Calypso. In parallel, we are supporting a major German bank in its release upgrade to Calypso v16, for which we can rely on our experience from v16 projects already successfully concluded.

Our current consulting team for FIS Balance Sheet Manager comprises approximately 15 consultants who can demonstrate a total of more than 6,000 person-days of system-related project experience. Our expertise covers the ALM, Market Risk, FTP and Hedge modules.
One of our core competencies is the full guidance of our customers during implementation projects. Together with you, we design the functional and technical target architecture of your Balance Sheet Manager installation as well as the associated data management and the required interfaces. We support you in the IT implementation of the requirements as well as the necessary system parameterization and accompany you until the roll-out of the overall architecture.
We are currently advising a German federal state bank on the implementation of regulatory topics such as LCR/NSFR and the EBA FundingPlan on the basis of the FIS Balance Sheet Manager. In addition, we are supporting an Austrian state bank in the further development of its Balance Sheet Manager installation.
