A major German bank has assigned Firstwaters with outsourcing of the entire Treasury business, including IT systems and processes to the central processing platform of the international group. In close coordination with the bank’s board of managing directors the joint project between the bank and the international headquarter was set up as an international project. Firstwaters took over the overall project management of the project together with the CIO and CFO of the bank as co-project managers. Other important project roles such as lead business analyst, IT sub-project management or test management were filled by our consultants. The project complexity was reduced through a functional cut of the overall project into several phases and at the same time interim project results were successfully put into production on a regular basis.
With the migration of numerous financial products from Kondor+ to Calypso Front-to-Back, we have modernized and improved the trading and settlement of interest rate and credit derivatives, FX options and OTC equity derivatives for an Austrian banking group. Project management, business analysis, technical analysis, development, test management and migration management were as much part of Firstwaters’ tasks as vendor management. We have responsibly managed, designed and delivered in all areas of Front-to-Back implementation.
