In the banking world, software development requirements are manifold: some banks look for holistic visionary solutions to be built from scratch, others would like to merge two systems into one.
Whatever goal it is, solutions should always be flexible to be further amended and be able to process even the most complex tasks.
At Firstwaters we employ a team of experienced developers with in-depth skills for analysing and building software architecture who are excited to take on your challenges. This concentration of experience, combined with industry know-how, allows us to enhance and improve individual systems but equally allows us to see the big picture of your IT infrastructure to deliver solutions which can be integrated into existing ones.
A German private bank based in Frankfurt relied on Firstwaters' consulting services for the introduction of a new data warehouse. The task was to design a central data model across the locations Frankfurt and Luxembourg and to design and implement the interfaces for the delivery of the required data. In addition, our consultants set up a management reporting system on the DWH using SAP BO. Important success factors were the adherence to a specified performance, ensuring the timely availability of the data on the following day and the achievement of a high data quality and consistency in reporting.
Experience has shown that the introduction and further development of Calypso Front-to-Back for different asset classes is associated with high implementation costs, which can vary greatly depending on the project phase. A German Landesbank has therefore decided to authorize Firstwaters to set up and manage a Calypso development pool. Depending on the upcoming implementation topics, Firstwaters controls the internal staffing of the pool and thus always ensures the necessary availability of resources with an optimized cost structure for the bank. This approach of cooperation has therefore proven successful over several years.
