Reference interest rates such as LIBOR, EONIA or EURIBOR are omnipresent in the financial world: they set credit interest rates and contractual compensation claims and a lot more - financial products valued at 150 trillion euros are indexed by such reference interest rates.

But those days are coming to an end; at the very latest with the scandal surrounding the manipulation of LIBOR, the supervisory authorities stepped in and set new standards with which the traditional reference interest rates can no longer keep up. No later than 2020 it will end.
